My Biography

As a child, DJ JenJen loved to dance to the cultural sounds of her parents’ Guyanese Soca rhythm in Brooklyn, NY. Growing up in New York City the influence of so many cultures infused a love for multitudes of genres. DJ Jen Jen was always in charge of the musical selections in many family events from her teenage years. She created CDs and playlists for her family and friends. Later in college ventured DJ Jen Jen into utilizing DJ applications to play music. In 2014 she bought her first DJ controller and continued to grow into her DJ Career. Between the years 2015 to 2020, she played at family and friends events throughout NYC.

In 2021 DJ Jen Jen started playing and streaming music on Twitch and now has a following of 3k on the platform. She was nominated for Best Afrobeats / World Music of the Year in 2022 and 2023. DJ Jen Jen is passionate about the following genres House, Afro House, Afrobeats, and Amapiano. The rhythm of the drum is highly infused into the musical selections within her sets. Now she is looking to gain more experience playing the music she loves worldwide.
