My Biography

DJ Jen Jen's musical journey began in Brooklyn, NY, where she danced to her parents' Guyanese Soca rhythms. Immersed in New York City's diverse culture, she developed a deep appreciation for various musical genres. From curating music at family gatherings to exploring DJ applications in college, her passion led her to purchase her first DJ controller in 2014, officially launching her DJ career. Between 2015 and 2020, she honed her skills at private events across NYC, building a strong foundation in the industry.

In 2021, DJ Jen Jen expanded her reach by streaming on Twitch, quickly amassing a following of 3K and gaining recognition for her unique sound. Her talent earned her nominations for Best Afrobeats / World Music DJ in both 2022 and 2023, where she was honored to be nominated alongside legendary DJs like Natasha Diggs, DJ PFU, and many more.

In 2023, she became a proud member of the Haitian All Starz Team, founded by DJayCee and DJ Hard Hittin Harry (former resident DJ of The Fugees), further solidifying her place in the industry. From September 2024 to January 2025, she held a resident DJ position at EKO Lounge & Restaurant. She has also graced the stage at the Zazou Experience’s All White Affair & Blazer Affair at Taj Lounge in NYC and is booked for the upcoming Dashiki Affair in Summer 2025 in Brooklyn, NY, and Montreal, Canada. Currently, she is a regular guest DJ at Drink Lounge in Brooklyn, NY, and has been added as a guest DJ for the Teamshellinz Island to Island Weekender in Spain and Gibraltar.

Beyond live performances, DJ Jen Jen is the creator and founder of "Bang Da Damn Drums," a virtual event on Twitch that will soon debut as a live event in Brooklyn, NY. Passionate about House, Afro House, Afrobeats, and Amapiano, her sets are deeply infused with the heartbeat of the drum, creating unforgettable sonic experiences. With a continuously growing platform and global aspirations, DJ Jen Jen is just getting started—more is on the way! 🎶🔥
